The PLS-CADD LIDAR software is one of the most widely used by electrical engineers to design and analyse power lines considering all the parameters that affect them, such as cable material, wind and temperature, among others. In this way, we can use the LiDAR data as an input data that gives us the current situation and from there obtain a 3D simulation of the power line in the worst case scenario (at maximum wind and maximum operating temperature).
